2026 Al Jones Memorial Essay Scholarship

 The scholarship is open to students in Lee, Collier, Charlotte, Hendry, and Glades Counties who will be attending a Florida College, Technical College, or University for the 2026-2027 school year.

Write a 2 page max essay on the topic about "How Community Service has Influenced your personal growth and the well-being of your community."   

The scholarship program is open from March 1 - April 30. Three scholarships: 1 - $1000 and 2 - $500, will be given to the best essays as reviewed and agreed upon by the scholarship committee. 

Essays must be submitted to tropicallodgescholarships@gmail.com.

Include your name and college you will be attending in your submission email. Again, the essay topic should be two pages max and explain how community service has influenced your personal growth and the well‑being of your community.
